To Delineate Conflict

To deny that cyclical nature of democracy, is to willingly call down wrath upon the people that one is supposed to serve.

The halls of parliament, they have been established in order to avoid that which was required to build them in the first place.

My generation however, we don’t even remember that parliament is ment to reduce the brutality of conflict, not conflict for its very own merit.

We bow our heads, accordingly,  unwilling to fail where our predecessors did succeed, and rightfully so, but that does certainly not entail peace at any cost.

Agony, Triumph over said Agony will eventually, open up a pathway towards new leadership, built with the blood of innocence. In time, declaring our love for a world that is yet to be born.

Progress, conflict, … merely two sides of the same journey, when parliament does, eventually, become incapable of harnessing true, legitimate grievances. And the cyclical nature of democracy is finally laid bare, for all to witness. It’s up to the populace to render its final judgement.

Left to its own accord, that judgement will take place underneath a mantle of hubris. With proper guidance however; humility might lead the way towards a solution based on reconciliation and rejuvenation. To deny that cyclical nature of democracy, is to willingly call down wrath upon the people that one is supposed to serve.

It is a pity then, that our generation is the one that has to reignite the forges of democracy. Has to reinstate the pillars and supporting structures.

For it is our capacity for conflict, that with which democracy itself has been forged, that has been smothered from the moment we were born.
